Feeling Special

It started just like any other days, waking up early for class and then I thought it was just another normal day for me until Julius told me the veto had decided to have family dinner that night and made us clear up our hectic schedule for the dinner. He said Tristan had found a restaurant and decided to try there. All 14 of us packed ourselves into three cars: Tristan's, Natasha's and Pei Mei's. We ordered two different flavours of fish dishes: steamed and assam, two different types of vegetables and also a small claypot of pork. After the dinner, Tristan and Benedict disappeared off to nowhere and Julius disappeared too after he received a phone call. I asked Natasha where they went and she said they got some errands to do before Julius and Benedict had to leave for their meeting. Few moments later, everyone started to sing "Happy Birthday" song in loud voice while Tristan walked in with a slice of cake bought from Secret Recipe, and was escorted by Julius and Benedict. The fan's wind was too strong and the candles went off before the cake had the chance to be put in front of me. In the end, they told me to just make a wish and blew at the lighter. I was so shy and couldn't keep the silly smile off my face. There were so many people staring at the commotion. At that moment, I felt so special.

I know I looked like shit in this picture but whatever XD

I am always the low profile person who seldom keep eye contact with people and I mostly keep to myself. It's not as if I'm autistic but I'm just an introvert with a crazy side once a person know me beyond the surface I'm portraying. I do not like to be in the center of attention and that is why I always write to express myself. It's a form of stress-venting, I guess? Anyhow, I do dream that I have a bunch of friends helping me celebrating birthday but it is always a fantasy, never come true. It is also my first time celebrating my birthday, the important 21 years old, legally adult day, away from home without parents or love. Yet, it is even more special than the one I had when I turned 16: the moment Kelly and DC asked me for an outing and bought a slice of cake for me to eat, and we celebrated it in Kopitiam Junction. I'm thoroughly touched and happy for all the efforts. Thank you so much for the cake too, Tristan :) Also, thank you everyone who wished me via video, phone calls, SMS-es, MMS-es, messenger, wechat, wall posts and also in person.
